Santana

My main portfolio piece at The Game Assembly.

Last year I worked on an animated short film called Humane. It was about zoo-animals and the mistreatment of them. It inspired me to create my character Santana.
He is a former circus chimpanzee whose tragic life events led to his endless roaming of the 1800's western wastelands. He carries with him the memories of his troubled past and his ape-modified Colt Navy pistol, the same of which he used to entertain the circus audience with. Although these days its purpose has gone from sharpshooting sand filled cans to warding of unwanted strangers.

This whole project took me 5 weeks fulltime from start to finish.
