Inspired by the music from another project I am working on, I wanted to make a Keyed Fiddle to improve my prop-making skills and expand my rather outdated portfolio. The Keyed Fiddle is quite special in both sound and appearance, as it sounds just as old and cultured as it looks. I had a lot of fun making it, and there is a great deal of emotion surrounding this piece.
This was modeled in Blender using a mid-poly workflow, and almost the entire model was built using modifiers. I also applied many new techniques I learned at EB-Studios, which helped me a lot. Textured in Substance Painter and rendered in Blender Cycles. Music by Esther Trost.
